The third and final post regarding the Seafoam S13’s build and ownership period.

The car was done, for the most part, as far as I was concerned, and now it was time to enjoy it to its full potential. I began taking it out to local meets; the first was a small pop-up event in Hastings, then Highball Cars & Coffee and displaying the car at Adam LZ’s World Tour event at Calder Park, alongside a few great friends and their cars too.

I was proud of where the car was in its form, but I had a true goal of getting the car into Black Label Invitational, one of Melbourne's best car shows.

As I slowly started doing the little bit’s and pieces that remained, such as painting the window wipers, fixing trims, sourcing OEM floor mats etc, I got the invitation to display my car at Black Label.

I wanted the car to be “perfect” in my eyes for the show, so the next few months was little finishing touches and prep for the event.

I ended up borrowing wheels from Denis’s S13 as they were much more aggressive than my wheels at the time, got it detailed by a friend.

I even did my first proper photoshoot with @fueledbykhang, which are still some of the best photos of any car I have ever owned.

Being my first Black Label event, it was hard to put into words how good that day was; the car looked perfect to me, I met countless people who I have spoken to briefly on Instagram, and was so proud to show the car in its current form.

Again, it was on display alongside Daniel’s S13 and AE86, which looked great together; these events wouldn’t be half of what they are without sharing them with people who have the same passion.

After Black Label, I kept driving the car, but the drives became less and less. I found myself at a standstill with the car, and started thinking about - what next?

It was my dream car, I had done everything I wanted to it, but I wanted to experience other cars. It was a hard decision to list it for sale properly; it didn’t take long to sell, and it moved on.

It was the end of the chapter for the Seafoam S13, but not the end for S13’s for me.

This car introduced me to people I call my best mates, I learnt a lot, it fueled my obsession of Silvias and styling, rare parts and more. All of the most memorable times with this car are fleeting memories of building it and enjoying it with friends.
